Cakum Global is recruiting a Refrigeration Manager for our client based near Lae, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
A senior technical leadership role responsible for managing all industrial refrigeration systems and personnel across a large-scale food processing and cold storage operation. This role ensures reliability, efficiency, and zero downtime across critical refrigeration infrastructure.

Key Highlights

• Lead and manage all refrigeration operations including blast freezers, cold storage, chillers, and industrial AC systems
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance and repair schedules
• Oversee procurement, inventory, and spare parts management
• Drive zero downtime and ensure continuous operation of processing facilities
• Lead refrigeration-related capital projects and system upgrades
• Improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Train, mentor, and manage a team of technicians

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic / Engineer (Trade, Diploma, or Degree)
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in industrial refrigeration
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair expertise
• Experience in food processing, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
• Strong leadership and team management capability
