Broiler Department Manager
Job Description:
Cakum Global is recruiting a Broiler Department Manager for our client based near Lae, Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview:
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing broiler farming operations, driving production performance, and ensuring high standards in animal welfare, biosecurity, and operational efficiency across multiple farm sites.
Key Highlights
- Lead and manage all broiler farm operations and farm managers
- Drive production targets, performance improvement, and cost control
- Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity, welfare, and environmental standards
- Monitor key KPIs including growth, mortality, and feed conversion ratios
- Collaborate with hatchery, feedmill, processing, and logistics teams
- Develop team capability through coaching, training, and succession planning
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in broiler or poultry management
- Strong leadership experience managing multiple farm operations
- Deep understanding of biosecurity, animal welfare, and production systems
- Data-driven with strong reporting and performance analysis skills
- Experience in integrated poultry operations highly regarded
