Cakum Global is recruiting a Breeder Department Manager for our client based at a farmsite near Lae, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing large-scale breeder and grandparent farms, ensuring high-quality hatching egg production, optimal flock performance, and alignment with industry standards.

Key Highlights

• Lead and manage breeder operations across parent and grandparent stock
• Oversee flock performance including placement, feeding, vaccination, and grading
• Drive biosecurity, disease prevention, and overall flock health management
• Ensure production targets for chicks and hatching eggs are consistently achieved
• Manage a large workforce of 200+ staff across multiple farm operations
• Coordinate closely with veterinarians, hatcheries, feed suppliers, and support teams

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, or related field
• Minimum 10 years' experience in breeder or grandparent farm management
• Strong leadership and team management capability
• Solid understanding of flock performance, biosecurity, and production systems
• Analytical, organized, and capable of managing large-scale farm operations
• Comfortable working with reports, data, and farm management systems
